If you are not interested in natural eyelash conditioners like Envyderm, then you will like Revitalash. While you do not need a prescription for Revitalash, it does contain a similar active ingredient to prescription eyelash growth products. That active ingredient is a prostaglandin or in this case a prostaglandin analogue which makes eyelash hairs grow faster and longer.
In the case of Revitalash, the type of prostaglandin analogue that is in the formula will depend on which formulation of the product you have. For example, there are two versions available here on Amazon right now. Revitalash has undergone so many revisions because while these ingredients are one of the only clinically proven methods of making your eyelashes grow longer, they also have a bunch unpleasant of side effects. These range from temporary problems such as stinging, irritation, and darkening of the surrounding eye area to darkening of the irises which is a permanent irreversible side effect! Thus if you are thinking about using Revitalash, keep in mind that it is very important to only apply it once a day to your upper lash line and to always avoid getting the product in your eyes!
If these side effects are a little too scary for you then you will want to look for the version that has Trifluoromethyl Dechloro Ethylprostenolamide as an ingredient. This is the newer formulation of Revitalash that does not have all these unpleasant side effects. However the trade off is that it will take as long as 2-3 months to start seeing any results. Many women have commented that the older formula works in just weeks and as a matter of fact, works so well that their lashes start growing in like weeds and pointing in every which way! The decision is yours if the results are worth the risks. Keep in mind though that prescription eyelash growth serums also have these same unpleasant side effects, they’re just much much more expensive than Revitalash!

This product sucks. I used it for one month and it has caused hyperpigmentation on my lower and upper lid. It has been over a year now and the discoloration has still not disappeared. I look as if I have bags under my eyes. If I knew beforehand of these serious side effects I would have never bought this terrible product.
